Moonlight filtered through a shaft in the nursery roof, peaceful despite the battle raging outside.
Badgers had infiltrated the ThunderClan camp, and in the midst of it all, Sorreltail had begun her kitting. A dark gray she-cat with an awkwardly twisted leg stood in front of her, meowing encouragement as the tortoiseshell brought new life into the forest.
